Math tutoring & More
At Mathocity, we use the "I do, We do, You do" approach to math. First, we teach and demonstrate the concepts and methods to solve a problem, then we work through examples together. Once the student feels comfortable and confident in solving the problems, we encourage the student to work through problems and then check their answers with their math coach. We practice until the lightbulb is on...and they GET IT!! We love math, so we are happy to work through LOTS of examples!
Every session is an environment of encouragement, no pressure. We know that students learn so much more when they feel safe from pressure and perfection. If you prefer to work in person, we are located in Stillwater, OK.
We have 2 locations in Stillwater:
1113 S. Main Street ... just north of the intersection of 12th and Main St.
1750 W. Lakeview Road ... about a mile west of Boomer Lake.
We have tables, white boards, lots of cool pencils, and plenty of erasers....
and we are ready to help you!
ONLINE Math tutoring
Technology (and an awesome coach) can bring math help to you,
from anywhere...right when you need it! All you need is a computer with audio & video, an internet connection and an hour per session.
We meet students online everyday via zoom....and each session is productive and FUN! We use a super fancy virtual whiteboard so students can see our handwriting as we work through math problems together.
